How do I start a list again?
Finishing a run resets it. Tap Complete, confirm, and every tick clears while the run itself is kept in the Logbook — the list is ready for the next trip. If you want to clear a half-finished run without recording it, use the circular arrow at the bottom of the screen, or swipe the list on the Checklists tab and choose Start Again.
Half my list does not apply to my van
Switch those lines off rather than deleting them. Edit the checklist, tap the item, and turn off Applies to my van. It drops out of the count and out of the run, but stays in the list so you can bring it back if you change vans or fit the thing later. The same switch is on every service item.
Can I change the built-in lists?
All of them, completely. Rename items, rewrite the explanations, reorder them, add sections, delete what you do not want. The app identifies built-in content by a hidden key rather than by its text, so your edits survive every future update — an update can only ever add something new, never overwrite what you have changed.
I deleted a built-in list by mistake
My Van › Built-in Content lists anything that is not installed, with a button to put it back. Restoring only adds what is missing; nothing you have edited is touched.
My caravan has no odometer
No caravan does. The kilometre figure in the app is your own running total — add the trip meter after each trip, or read it off the tow vehicle and subtract. If you never touch it, nothing breaks: a service item measured in both months and kilometres simply falls back to its months, and the app says so rather than guessing.
Are the service intervals right for my van?
They are a sensible starting point for a typical Australian van, not gospel. Your handbook wins, and so does experience — a van that spends its life on corrugations needs its bearings looked at sooner than one doing highway kilometres. Every interval is editable, in months, in kilometres, or both.
Why does it tell me some items are critical?
Because a missed safety chain and a missed tea towel are not the same mistake. Items marked critical are the ones that can cause a crash, a fire, a gas leak or a rollaway, and the app names the outstanding ones before it will let you finish. It still lets you finish — you are standing at the van and it is not.
Why does it record items I did not do?
Because a logbook that only records success is not a record of anything. If you complete a run with three items still pending, the entry says three items were left undone, and names them. That is the entry you want to be able to look back at.
Will I get reminded about servicing?
If you allow notifications, yes: one reminder when a job enters your notice window, and one on the day it falls due. You choose the notice period and the time of day in Settings, and you can turn reminders off for individual items. Distance-based intervals cannot be predicted ahead of time — nobody knows what day you will pass 20,000 km — so those only show inside the app.
Does it need a signal?
Never. There is no server, no account and no sync, so the whole app works exactly the same in the middle of nowhere as it does at home.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. The share button on the Logbook exports everything as plain text — every service with its date, kilometres, who did it and what it cost, and every completed check with anything noted against it. A single run can be shared the same way from its own entry.

Caravan Checklist is a memory aid. The built-in content is general guidance for a typical Australian caravan and is not a substitute for your van's handbook or for a qualified inspection. Gas work and brake work must be carried out by a licensed person.
